A friend of mine was the cinematographer on this, pretty cool:

I made this image for a random online game, but since it’s very game related I figured I’d post it here. I made it in response to this caption:
It might be entertaining for the video game fans, but all those hours spent trying to cross the road to get home have left frogger extremely sleep deprived, and exhausted when he gets up for work in the morning.
Could this be the shortest demo ever? Yes, this is on the “high-speed” version of the game (“throttle monkey”), and I did kill the tanks as fast as possible, but my very first try at the demo on normal wasn’t much longer (30 secs?). The demo ends after you kill four tanks, so it’s possible to play longer, but only if you suck.
It was pretty fun, but maybe at the 40 second mark you realize there’s nothing else to do. The game got pretty mixed reviews, although it’s only $5. Eh.
For any of you who have current gen consoles (360/PS3), you’ll probably want to get those versions of Rock Band so you can take advantage of the downloadable content (of which there will be TONS). However, I still don’t have a 360 in my room yet (we have one downstairs in our living room),
so I’m going to get the PS2 version (plus I already have two PS2 Guitar Hero guitars, which are compatible). The 360 version isn’t bundled with a wireless guitar anyway. Pricing was finally announced, being cheaper than most people had expected — $170 for current gen, $160 for PS2. But, you can get it a little cheaper than that: YesAsia has the U.S. PS2 version bundle for $10 off — $150 for a guitar, the drumset, a microphone, and the game — with free shipping! I already have some credit there, so that’s where I’ll be getting it. You can pre-order it now!
Interestingly, the PS3 Rock Band guitars are said* to be compatible with the PS2 version, so if you buy any extra guitars, you might want to get the PS3 version. That way you can take them to a friend’s house who has a PS3, or if you eventually get a PS3 you’ll already have a guitar.

Someone posted this rar file on another site, but the link was dead. So after searching around, and not being able to find it, someone sent it to me (thanks, avjgtfusion!). If you play Drummania on your PC (DTXMania), and you like Weezer, this is for you. Most of the songs are pretty easy. They’re all under 40 difficulty, I think, and a few of them have Basic and Advanced. Still, fun to play. You can get the rar file in the Downloads section, at the bottom.
Forget everything you’ve heard about Second Life (SL), if you’ve never tried it. Two years ago I joined (and this was back when you had to PAY to join!), after seeing the Burning Life 2004 video (embedded below). Burning Life (BL) is the Second Life version of Burning Man, and it is the reason you should check out SL, right now. The event ends on October 1st, so you still have time, but don’t put it off! It’s free!
I’m a bit late posting this, but Ouendan 2 has a release date and can be pre-ordered (image at right is Ouendan 1)!
Thanks to GAF you can see videos of some of the original songs that will be in Ouendan 2 (note: possible errors). I assume the recordings in Ouendan 2 will be cover versions, just like in Ouendan 1 and EBA, but those will give you an idea.
It’s cheaper on YesAsia — $45 w/free shipping, as opposed to $50 including shipping on P-A. You can also try this coupon code at YesAsia:
Get $5 off orders of $30 or more with coupon code WGASIA5 (new customer only)
Also, I would like to thank everyone who has used the CRG affiliate links when importing games — I was able to pre-order Ouendan 2 for free because of it! THANK YOU!
In other news…
I’m sorry I haven’t updated in months, but there is new stuff coming soon! A couple reviews and a couple videos, including a new Rabbit Run!
