If you love the amazing Nintendo DS game “Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan” (U.S. “sequel” titled “Elite Beat Agents”) as much as we do, you probably want to hear the original songs (like many music games, the recordings in the game are sound-alikes [with one exception]).
Here are links to various videos of the original artists. The first link is for their official music video if available, followed by live versions. In case the videos have been removed or don’t work, there is a “search” link afterwards to search YouTube for each song. Some songs have many live versions, so only a couple will be listed — search if you want the rest. If you have a video that isn’t on this page, please upload it and send us the link! Also, please let us know if any of the videos have been removed so we can update the links. If you see “DEAD” written next to the link, it means the video has been taken down, probably because of copyright issues, and we can’t find a good link. Try the search link though, since someone else may have put it up since we last updated.
Stage titles are not official, and are taken from FAQs on gamefaqs.com. If you’d like to know more about any of these bands, visit the Ouendan page on wikipedia. Huge thanks to YouTube for being so awesome, and to all the various users who uploaded these videos.
YouTube links will open in a new window.
Looking for the OST? You can find it here. (Submitted by Lewis)
If you like this, be sure to check out our other Ouendan guides!
Exam Crisis! : Asian Kung-Fu Generation – “Loop & Loop”
Secretary’s Busy Day : Morning Musume – “Koi no Dance Site”
About the band: Morning Musume is an ever changing girl j-pop band. The members change often (similar to Menudo). The current members are not the same ones seen in this video from when the song was released. If you watch the Colbert Report you may have seen a clip of some girls with meat headbands screaming at a lizard (they show it a lot)…that was them!
Official Music Video Sexy BEEEAM!!!
Live Version — updated 7/11/06
Bandit-nabbing Horserace : Ulfuls – “Guts da ze!!”
(Note: old link found as “Guts Daze” on YouTube, current as “Gets Daze”)
Official Music Video — updated 7/11/06, thanks Narse!
Matsuri Competition : 175R – “Melody”
Official Music Video — updated 7/29/06, thanks Zho!
Note: This song is not a sound-alike in the game, it’s the real song. The music video is worth watching though, because it’s about 1:20 longer than the Ouendan edit! If you just want to hear the (edited) song, you can watch a video of someone getting an S-rank on Insane.
There are also music videos of other songs by 175R:
The Ramen Stall : The Blue Hearts – “Linda Linda”
Note: This song is from 1987, making it harder to find.
Live Version
Teachers’ Dilemma : B’z – “Atsuki kodo no hate”
Official Music Video — updated 7/11/06
Dodgeball Crush : Tomoyasu Hotei – “Thrill”
Official Music Video — NEW! 7/11/06
Not Official! User created video, made with tv clips. It uses the original song though, so if you just want to hear the song, it’s fine.
Election for Mayor! : Road of Major – “Taisetsuna mono”
Official Music Video (Found as “Taisetsu na mono”)
Cleopatra’s Pyramid : Linda Yamamoto – “Neraiuchi”
Note: This song is from 1973! It’s possible that no video for it exists.
SHORT CLIP – This is a short live compilation, the end has an even shorter clip of this song.
Violinist : Kishidan – “One Night Carnival”
Official Music Video — updated 7/11/06
Live Version — DEAD as of 7/11/06
Ghost Love Story : Hitomi Yaida – “Over The Distance”

Note: There are a lot of her videos online, check out her other stuff if you like that song. If you play Drummania you’ll recognize a couple. Here are some recommendations: Andante, My Sweet Darlin’, B’coz I Love You, Buzzstyle.
(We had links to them, but they all got taken down. Just search to see what’s available.)
