Karaoke Revolution video: “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” EXPERT
Karaoke Revolution 2, “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” by The Darkness.
Sung by my friend Amber, on Expert.
Platinum Record score (23954), full combo. Game vocals are off, so the only voice you hear is hers.
As I wrote at the end of the video, this was her first try, and the game doesn’t like vibrato, so she could have scored much higher. I really just sprung this on her; she was here for the holidays, so I asked if I could quickly record her since I knew she could beat the song on expert. She wasn’t trying for a high score or anything, so she was a little late on some of the phrases, which also lowered her score.

[…] Got notice of this video the other day, originally posted by Cracked Rabbit Gaming. For the those that don’t know, the game is called Karaoke Revolution, and it’s available on the PS2. It’s strange that no one has put this sort of thing out any earlier, as the technology really isn’t that complicated. […]
Hey,
Cool video! And like what you’re doing here at the site. I’m sure you don’t mind, but I posted a blog entry at my site concerning your video, and of course… giving you full credit and a link.
Nice work. ;)
Thanks for the link — have you heard about “Rock Band”? It’s by the creators of Karaoke Revolution and Guitar Hero, and it combines the two, and adds drums. So you have a full four person band playing the game at once. We’ve been playing it non-stop for the past five days, it’s great. There are lots of videos on youtube.
(I also posted this comment on your blog in case you don’t see this one)
Tommy does Cracked Rabbit Gaming have any Rock Band footage out yet? I’m looking forward to seeing you guys rock it out, no pun intended ;)
Not yet, we’ve been too busy playing it! I’ve been writing a big review for it, too, so that will be up pretty soon. My roommates mostly just play on Medium, so I’m not sure what videos to make. If we can find a good song, maybe they can practice on Hard and really get it down. And of course I might just make some solo drum videos, although I need to get replacements since they’re not responsive enough (like most people’s).
